Sprint Nextel cuts customers off
Sprint has decided to cut customers that they felt were calling customer service too much. Apparently, too many calls is about 25 per month. The calls were mainly about billing. They sent letters to about 1,000 subscribers. The letter said While we have worked to resolve your issues and questions to the best of our ability, the number of inquiries you have made to us during this time had led us to determine that we are unable to meet your current wireless needs." The letter went on to say that the subscribers would not be charged for early termination and that they should port their numbers by July 30th.
Sprint officials say this is an effort to improve service to their remaining subscribers. But it seems more like an effort to not provide the service Sprint customers are paying for. Just give us your money and don't ask questions....basically.
