Ricky Martin has a shiny star that people trample on

Apparently Ricky Martin has been given a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The first question that springs to mind has to be "Why?". So the dude had a couple of hit songs and can make women scream. I'm not entirely sure that that qualifies him for one. Doesn't a person have to be good to get one of these stars? I always thought so, but now it looks like they are handing them out as party favours. This is what he had to say while talking to AP-

"My work has been recognised. It will stay here forever, hopefully,"
"I'm so motivated right now, we'll see where this takes me."


But again, does anyone actually care? If he is qualified for a star, then so are the Vengaboys. "Who?" I hear you ask. Exactly, my friends. Exactly.
