Gretel Killeen has been booted from Big Bogan... I mean Brother, sorry about that. The show is saying that it was her choice and she is moving onto bigger and better things but it's pretty obvious she got the sack.
The ratings this year were downright sucky and many speculated that the show would be axed. But no, they have decided that they can torture us some more with a new, improved version of the show.

I have always thought that although the show itself is cringe worthy at the best of times, Gretel always did a good job, however it was not until I saw the way that she handled the "Merlin Situation" that I truly respected her for what she did. She took a potentially really nasty scenario and handled it with calmness and class. I know she has the receiver in her ear all the time, but I honestly think that it was on that night that she proved herself. I do not believe that anyone knew what to do and she was on her own, and she did a great job. So while it is sad to see her go, it is time that the show had a change. I don't know if Channel Ten can convince viewers that the show is still worth watching, but they are going to give it a crack anyway.
