Explosion in NY
The phone woke me up this morning. I rolled over a few times contemplating whether or not I should answer. Finally after the third call I answered. Panic on the other line. "TURN ON YOUR T.V. LOOK AT THE NEWS!" An explosion in NYC. 1 dead, 26 injured. My thoughts, "My Lord not again." Images of people running, screaming, and crying. Not a nice thing to wake up to. As the broadcasts went on, it was reveiled that a steam pipe explosion was the cause of all the mayhem, not a bomb. Relif. How sad is it the when things go wrong now our first thoughts are, "WE ARE UNDER ATTACK........AGAIN." Life as we know it has changed forever.
The Environmental Protection Agency has stated that there is no cause for concern regarding the asbestos in the air even though it was detected in the debis on the ground. Sound odd? Yea, to me too. But sounds familiar since it was the EPA that told New Yorkers after 9/11 that the air was clean and free of asbestos even though you could smell the burning debris from miles away FOR MONTHS. To the point where it would make your throat and head hurt. And now, people that were in that area are suffering from all types of lung problems. Why lie to us about theses kinds of things?
Has to make one wonder.
